We're back! It was really awesome...! We love NZ tremendously. It is somehow different from the Down Under though. I would say that the Kiwis are friendlier. It is indeed a beautiful country. My head is full with photographic images at the moment.
The girls were great travelers. Kudos to you girls! Wardah although with her car sick & sea sick, did not spoil her mood holidaying. I have to give the thumbs up to all. The trip was rather packed but none of them complained. In fact, they agreed that they wanted to do this again. That is so true. 10 days is not sufficient. We did not have the chance to visit most places. The plan was to come back & explore on the places we missed.
This was our itinerary. HB & I were the travel agents. We booked mostly everything online but it would be cheaper to book in NZ itself. We didn't want to take the risk though since we have for children in tow.
Day 1 - arrived in Auckland
Day 2 - took a flight to Queenstown, South Island & put up the night in Milford Sound
Day 3 - drove to Dunedin
Day 4 - drove up to Christchurch
Day 5 - train ride to Picton, took a ferry to Wellington & put up the night
Day 6 - traveled up north to Taupo
Day 7 - drove to Hastings & Napier (east coast of north island)
Day 8 - drove to Rotorua & put up at a friend's place in Hamilton
Day 9 - did some speedy shoppings (some of the shops were on sales!)
Day 10 - drove up to Auckland to do one last minute shopping & met up with another friend & boarded the flight to KL
I know it was so packed but we did it...! Will share some pics (which are loads!) & the updates of course ASAP. As for now, I need to check on the girls' books. 10 days away from school..., they have a lot to catch up.
