The Get Together

I was about to share a post on a movie review I watched yesterday when I realised that I haven't posted anything on the meeting last Saturday yet! ...

Since Saturday was also Earth Hour, the darkness made me hit the sack earlier than usual. The next day I tried to download the photos I snapped to my NB but the camera battery was flat. Couldn't search for its charger & assumed HB brought it to work with him. Called but he denied & after ransacking the drawers in my room, I found the charger but... the very next day (Monday), internet connection failed! Grrrr....!

HB came home. He was off both Tuesday & Wednesday. I was playing a good wife role, limiting my addiction to blogging & social networking. Hehehe... This morning, he left for work again & with the connection back to normal, here I am typing this out.

OK. The meet was a blast. Here are the photos I shot with HB's ixus before the battery went kaput.

The buffet spread

I was answering one of the many phone calls from the girls but when I got back to the living area where I left the others, the room was empty. Not long after that all came back, headed to their handbags, grabbed a gadget each & started the ritual before any makan-makan that involves bloggers - photo shooting!

It was only when we were satisfied with the photos only we helped ourselves.. ;-)

After that, no more photos. I thought the batt bar was full when I left home for Kak Kay's. I was wrong or perhaps I was too nervous to notice that.

Yes, I was. Now, let me bring you to the pre-meet. I was nervous but excited to meet everyone. True that this meet would not be the maiden introduction to each other as this was the 2nd gathering & some of the fellow bloggers are school friends & even siblings. Truthfully, I am no expert meeting new people at the first time.

My true self will be in disguised. The absence of my signature laugh is one symptom. I will be more listening than talking. My forefinger will start plucking on something (that day it was the hem to my jeans... hahaha).

I had to thank the food to make me more relaxed. It was when we were in the dining room that I got to know many of the other bloggers in person. Slowly but surely, I managed to get free from the alien me. They were indeed a wonderful crowd.

Thank you everyone for a great time. We definitely have to meet up again.I felt so awkward receiving the gifts as I had nothing to present. I really appreciate it. Kak Kay, thanks for having us.

Some of us who were there. Thanks Farah for this shot.

Psst... As requested, I have uploaded the recipe to the dessert I made. Do pay my kitchen a visit. Take care everyone.

Oh, I see... nervous rupanya! Patut lah I tak nampak Colgate smile tu...

I only managed to catch one word with you, "You duduk mana?" and that was it. Apa lah, kan? Insyaallah when we meet again next time, I will grill you especially on how to travel with 4 young kids in tow!

Cheers!

Hi Aida,

It is indeed a small world after all. I have shared the story with my mom & need to clarify here that she did bake those cakes when I was in the boarding school. Hahaha!
