History repeats

I did mention somewhere last year that Wardah like Yasmin was elected a school prefect. It was quite an issue really with HB. He was (perhaps still is) not keen of his girls as school prefects. He was never one, instead his name was rather popular amongst the prefects in his school. What worries him most is their studies of course. After some discussions, as usual I won... hehehe.

As promised here are the photos of Wardah in the new uniform. Check out the first pic. Ada ke prefect pose melentik macam tu?

Told her to give a different pose & she came out with this cute pose ;-) Better lah...

I have another news really. Now both of the girls are in the same session. Years 2,3 & 4 are in the afternoon. Which means that Yasmin in year 4 is the senior of the afternoon session.

The both of them came home somewhere last week with Yasmin breaking this news. She has been elected as the Penolong Ketua Pengawas 2. She is the Head Girl of the afternoon session! I was surprised... seriously I was. Ironically, the guy who opposed to his girls as the school prefects reacted positively. He has sort expected it, according to him. Huh...!

Why history repeats? Because her mom was once a Head Girl too ;-) Now, check out the Penolong Ketua Pengawas 2 in her uniform which is more likely the same except for the fluorescent orange tag. Takda ke warna lain cikgu...?

Very different right compared to her sister's pose. Right after I took this photo, she rushed to get her bag & pleaded me to hurry. But you know lah her mom... One more shot Yasmin & what I got was this kerna terpaksa pose ;-)

Proud of you girls. Let's prove papa wrong, shall we?

Dear Ja

The mom was a headgirl rupanya. No wonder the daughters are prefects. Ke mana tak tumpah kuah ya tak? Bet Wardah besuk pun akan jadi like Yasmin. Congratulations.

Hi Ja,

Both your girls look good in the uniform. My daughter wanted to be a prefect too. However the school she went to said that all prefects must wearing tudung. Hubby and I thought it wasn't right to force students to don hijab just to be prefects. Nawaitu tu tak berapa betul. So in the end, my girl only got to be pengawas pusat sumber.

I'm glad to see that the school your girls go to do not have such enforcement. I feel government schools should be neutral to all religions and abide to Kementerian Pendidikan's school uniform policy. Hijab isn't part of the uniform policy in mainstream schools. Some may choose to wear it and some may not. But the act of wearing shouldn't be forced on the students.

Hi TM,

TQ. I was a headgirl in primary school. Again was a prefect in lower secondary. Upper secondary I finally got the key to freedom away frm abah's strict rules. Boarding school! Chose not to be a prefect & had a heck of a time. Too much in fact! As a result my SPM result was not up to my expectation. ;-)

Hi MTT,

I can't agree with you more. The girls are now still in primary level. I'm not sure on the regulations in Secondary level tho.

There are quite a number of their friends who I won't say don the hijab tho but more likely wearing the tudung as part of the school uniform. Once I got to know this mother who made her girls wear tudung to school merely to prevent from lice!

Hi Ja,

Pretty girls you have there. School prefects? The experience would be good for them, as it helps make them more confident and take the lead when they are needed to do so. I'm sure they can do both academics and carry through the school prefect responsibilities well.

Hello Wlily,

Melentik but strict... what a combination. Hahaha! I got to read her buku kecil with nama & kesalahan. Berlari pun is an offense OK!

Mak diorg tak melentik, tak strict but strictly popular! LOL! Perasan..

Hi Kak Kay,

Thank you. That was one of my points debating with HB. The thing is Yasmin sort of drop a bit in her finals last year which was not to the liking of their dad. Her percentage was still an A & with that I got away again with HB. ;-)

Hi Jabisha, your daughter is really beautiful Betul2 ikut mak dia.
I really envy Captain...6 beautiful girls in the house and semua sayang dia. Ha ha.
I can imagine he returns after a long, tiring flight and 6 girls run to him....not to mention ikan masak assam, sambal belachan for dinner. Ha ha.

Have fun, Jabishah, Lee.

Guess your girls can get plenty of tips from you then. My girl also made prefect this year, but no kuasa one. Everyday she will tell me such-and-such a boy kicked her or hit her. She can only report to the teacher. I told her maybe she should start to defend herself, she said "Prefect not allowed to hit ok!" Hehehe.

Hi uncle,

Mana ada 6... 5 sahaja. Or are you including the helper as well??/ Hahaha! Indeed HB is lucky. I really hope he knows that.. ;-)

jabishah said...

Lian,

Hahaha... Ya lah! Prefects are not allowed to hit. They are only allowed to write names & more names! Wonder whether the teachers really do something abt it.
