Results!

Today is another Hari Jalinan Mesra in the girls' school. Whatever name they call it to us, it's still another name to a Report Card Day...

Wardah did pretty good but failed in her many attempts to beat the defending first place(DFP). This DFP has always been first, ever since in Year 1. In Year 2, things are still the same. This time however, I had hopes for Wardah to get No.1. She is highest in a couple of subjects instead of DFP. But again, her BM2 pulled down her marks... 88%! So, she has to be happy with NO.2... Only 8 points more to win the battle. Never mind Wardah... we try again next year! OK girl? ;-)

Yasmin, on the other hand is quite frustrated with her results. She had been the DFP for finals ever since Year 1, so I understand her frustration. Not only BM2 (88%) pulled down her marks, her Maths (89%) too. She is 6th in class & surprisingly, her rival is 4th. All the first 3 in her class are not school prefects.

At one point, it did cross my mind... Could it be because she is now a prefect? Was her time taken that she does not excel as she did before? I reminded myself that she was still 1st in TEST 2. In fact, she obtained all As in all her subjects. Isn't that what's important?

I remembered an entry about Yasmin when elected as a prefect (you can read here). The deal was for her to maintain an A in her percentage. Hers is 90.8%. I believe, that is still an A. So Yasmin, it's all up to you. You decide . To remain or to quit as a school prefect. You know best darling...

As for Balqis, her Report Card Day which is called Parents' & Teachers' Day was held last Saturday. Guess where we went instead? Ice Pyramid. Took the elder girls skating & totally forgot about it. Hahaha! Ish... Ish.... Was rather embarrassed when her teacher enquired on Monday morning. Of course I mentioned nothing about taking them skating... hehehe.

Here are the remarks given by her teacher in the report card-

"Balqis proves to be an intelligent student. She is able to adapt to new environment fast. Balqis is also a fast learner in her quiet way. At times, she can be restless & moody. Keep it up all the way, Balqis."

Moody? Hmmm... wonder where that came from ;-) Looking forward to your concert this Saturday!

Yasmin, Wardah & Balqis. Am proud of you girls.... love you all! Mmmmmuah!

Boza, I have to agree with you that at times we as mothers have high expectation on our children...However, I believe that excel in academic must come inhand with other qualities like self esteem, leadership qualities and bla bla.....I just got Amira's result yesterday (Sek. Keb), quite upset but I put the blame on me instead..Sek Agama so far ok...Luckily she is in Std 1...I need personal advise from youlah Boza....

To Yasmin & Wardah, You have done very well...Keep up and do better and better next time...Never give...

Hello Jabishah, Congratulations to your lovely 'Jabishah's Angels'. Wow! I can see an Aerospace Engineer, a Doctor, a Forensic Specialist or even a Pilot in your family when they grow up...
Looks like Harvard, MIT or Oxford might be included in their resume too.

Really happy to hear your Angels doing so well in school Jabishah. Nanti la Nadeen grows up...he'll make you proud too.

And to think my mother used to get report letters, "your son doesn't seem interested in his studies",
"Regret to say, your son needs further coaching in most subjects", ha ha ha.

I never scored above 60% in school. Maths was always borderline 55%. The only subjects that helped stopped me from being last was English and Geography, guranteed 100% scores always, ha ha.

But somehow when I really decide to grow up...I sure surprised everyone. I guess my brains took 20 years to improve, ha ha.

Once again, congrats to you and your Angels Jabishah. Best regards, and hugs to Nadeen, as well best wishes to Captain, Lee.

Jabishah...ada senang drop by...I want to do the Ronggeng with you, ha ha. Lee.

mesti wardah n yasmin frustkan kak...:(

wardah n yasmin :

janganla sedih sangat ok...
aunty tahu...u all dh cuba yang terbaik...tp percaya la, semua ni ader hikmahnya...

maybe Allah nak sedarkan kita, sebelum kita lebih lena dgn situasi sekarang...

aunty zira percaya after this, all of u akan lbh lagi berusaha kan?
tak nak lagi jadi mcm ni...setiap kali selepas sembahyang tu..bdoa kpd Allah yer..dgn hati yg benar2 ikhlas... Allah akan dengar doa hambanya yg benar2 ikhlas...;)

jd jgn sedih sangat ok! jadikan semua tu sebagai panduan hidup yasmin n wardah!

aunty zira nak citer sikit pasal kwn aunty, dulu kwn aunty ni dia prefect mcm yasmin... masa ni aunty kat sek menengah...dia mmg sibuk dgn tugas2 dia sehingga xdapat belajar...jd ustaz n ustazah aunty marah laa... tp dia tenang jer...

disebabkan dia xdapat masuk kelas utk belajar, jd setiap kali dia ader masa lapang, dia akan pergi jumper ustaz n usatazah or mana2 cikgu utk btanya pasal pelajaran yg dia terlepas...

tp..masa exam, kami ttp xdpt lawan dia, dia ttp d best student! masa exam SPM thn 95 dulu, ader 4 org kwn2 aunty dapat 10A1 n dia antara salah seorg student tbaik m'sia dapat 10A1 ( if u remember kak, maahad muhammadi perempuan kota bharu antara d best d malaysia).

jd...apa yg aunty nk bagitahu ialah... wpun yasmin or wardah (coming soon)jd prefect...jgn rasa tanggungjwb tersebut membebankan...
klu terlepas kelas tu, jumper cikgu yg mengajar tu...dgn mendekatkan diri dgn guru, u all akan dpt keberkatan yg lebih...
lagi pun u all ader supermum! yang blh beri bimbingan dirumah...

jd aunty percaya...u all dapat lakukan dengan lebih baik lagi...kan?usaha lagi yer...jgn putus asa!

ermmm cuti sekolah dah tiba, jadi enjoy...;) tp lepas ni belajar semula.... ok?

4 balqis...ermmm aunty harap balqis akan lebih suksess!hehehe

ok aunty doakan kalian semua berjaya! kak sori...terlalu panjang komen ni...hehehe

Hi Liza,
True what you said. What more when it came frm a BWP... ;-)
Apa personal advice you needed? Am not good but don't mind sharing.
Tx on my girls' behalf. Take care!

Hi Uncle,
Tx for your encouraging comments. Nowadays, it is very competitive in schools. Even at the young age of 7, parents have started sending children to tuition centres. Not my girls tho. I still can coach them at home. Perhaps those are working parents. Yasmin & Wardah shld be very grateful that I don't work.
Why am I not surprised with you scoring in English & Geography? ;-)
But did you really get such reports frm school. Well, I guess boys start late. HB was in the last class during primary school but in secondary he managed to set his priorities on studies.
Once again, tx.

Hello fiza,
Waaa... semenjak terror facebooking ni, blog pun dah pandai comment. Hehehe!
Tu laa, the other day Yasmin blk bagitau dia msk kelas Harmoni, terkezut mak bapak dia. Takkan dpt no.6 terus turun kelas??
But bila Wardah pun ckp msk Harmoni, we all relaxed lah sikit. Tetapi... adoi pressure tu! Sume in one class. Tough competition ni! Siaplah tahun depan... ;-D
